Delete your account

You can delete your Suby account at any time, and you do not need the app installed to ask us to do it.
From inside the app
If you still have Suby installed, this is the fastest route.
- Open Suby and go to Settings.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
By email, without the app
If you have already uninstalled Suby, email support@subyapp.com from the address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account.
We reply from the same address. We only act on a request sent from the account's own email address, because that is the one thing that shows the request is yours.
What deleting removes
- Your sign-in and the account itself. You will not be able to sign in again, and the email address is free to be used for a new account.
- Your cloud backup, if you had one: every snapshot, the vault, and the backup file held in storage.
- Shared groups you own. They end for everyone in them.
- Your place in shared groups you joined, along with the email address the group held for you.
What stays behind
- Anything on your device stays on your device. Suby keeps your subscriptions locally, so deleting the account does not empty the app. Uninstalling removes the local copy.
- If you told us why you left, that reason is stored without any link to you or your email, and we cannot trace it back.
- Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, not by us. Your subscription to Suby Premium is managed and cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.
How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app happens immediately. An emailed request is handled within 30 days, and normally within a few working days.
